He gained 1/2 of an ounce! Big boy! He has developed Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) a retina development problem. He will be in surgery on the 20th and 22nd of this month. They will either use Laser Surgery to correct or Cryotherapy (freezing). Part of the retina will have to be killed to stop the formation of excess blood vessels and scar tissue in the eye. If not done he could lose his sight in a worse case scenario. Mama and Papa are holding it together…pretty much. We are trusting Jesus to hold him and heal him. We just don’t want to see our little Fighter go through any more pain………… hopefully Laser surgery! Less pain with that. |
